Speaker Bio
I have worked in the financial industry for over 37 years during which time he assisted with the introduction of the Faster Payments Service in the UK as a Product Manager with HSBC and as the Chair of the APACS Faster Payments Communications Working Group. I also worked in many other areas of HSBC including Payments Operations and Global Risk.
I joined the Faster Payments Scheme in 2014 as a Senior Product Manager, before taking up his current position within Pay.UK as a Service Line Manager for Real Time Payments. This role includes working with Participants to create better communications between them and the Scheme and looking at ways to enhance the service not only to PSPs but also to all end users of the service, this has also involved working closely with the Payment Strategy Forum and in particular the End User Needs Working Group which looked at the creation of the “Request to Pay” Framework. Working within Pay.UK I have been responsible with a small team for the delivery of the Request to Pay Framework to live, which occurred on the 29th May this year, I have been at the heart of this development from its inception to its delivery.
